Holy Family Sanctuary is thrilled to share how very Present and Powerful The Holy Spirit was at last weekend's Release of The Holy Spirit Retreat at La Bonne Vie Ranch in Fredericksburg , TX. Dozens, and perhaps even hundreds of the approximate 300 attendees were empowered and gifted by The Holy Spirit...most in unexpected fashion.
Ministry founder and visionary, John Martinez shared his powerful testimony, going back decades, even before his time in Viet Nam. He included several heavenly revelations and visions, that most of us could directly relate to. John explained his initial confusion, then eventual obedience and submission to these continuing supernatural messages leading him to consecrate himself to God and becoming obedient to His mission. Eventually, God brought others together, responding to the same or similar calling. John did not seek them out, but waited on God's timing and direction. We all saw how patience and obedience is the key to being an effective servant...though none of us are ever worthy.
Mark Mallet dove still deeper into how God forged and developed his ministries...music, writing, website, and podcasts. Mark is a very Godly man with who possesses a calmness and loving demeanor. He blessed us with his moving testimony, including several examples of overcoming obstacles and testing along with direct correlation to scriptures. He ministers beautifully through music, gently blessing us with several songs from his heart and soul. Some were moved to tears. And Mark does a delightful impression of dear Saint John Paul II...only not in Polish, yet!
Vickie Smith is richly blessed with the Gift of Healing, and she shared those graces with an abundance of teaching on physical AND spiritual healing. She explained, and demonstrated how supernatural means are necessary to deal with supernatural obstacles and forces. Through her gift of healing, she could sense the pain and suffering of many individuals, asking them to stand and claim their infirmity and then in the name of Jesus she prayed healing, which many experienced immediate relief. Obstacles to immediate healing sometimes include, unforgiveness, past bad memories, family "demons", or simply a lack of trust or faith. And God's timing may not be in sync with our timing or expectations for a quick solution. Vickie has a way of explaining and demonstrating that everyone could grasp. Many people testified to immediate miraculous healing through her touch or prayer. And of course, she humbly gives all credit to God. God's using her powerfully!
Cindy Erivez and their band, Journey, graced the crowd with their praise and worship music. Cindy performed a healing of memories, taking us all the way back to our mother’s womb, praying for healing that may have been caused before we were even born due to feelings of rejection that may have been caused by negative emotions or consequences experienced by our mothers during pregnancy. She shared her own testimony that was so relatable to everyday life. Their music and shared lyrics allowed the entire crowd to sing at the tops of their voices which greatly contributed to bringing about of the Holy Spirit.
John, Mark, and Vickie all went about the apostolic work of the Holy Spirit...laying hands on dear souls in need of counsel, healing, or just seeking to be gobsmacked by God. We got a great demonstration of what it may have been like with the Apostles and Early Church community. 
Most everyone in attendance had a "resting in The Spirit" moment...some even two or three such experiences. There was no doubt that God, through His Spirit was at supernatural work touching souls with spiritual healing. And many with physical healing. Many Gifts, beyond Healing, were given by God to those trusting and surrendering to Him. Time will tell just how generous The Spirit was with each of us...maybe prophecy, knowledge, tongues, miracles, charity, or other unique gifts.
The Holy Family Sanctuary has been honored to kick off God's new ministry with this eye-opening and spiritually- awakening event. It may be better described as a Power Charge, as there was no retreat from anything or anyone coming against the Heavenly Forces.
