Louise LaJaunie

Louise LaJaunieMy name is Louise LaJaunie.  I was born in Ripley, Mississippi.  I fell in love with the Catholic Church at the age of 16.  In1964 I met the love of my life, Harold LaJaunie.   in March, 1965 we married.  My husband is Catholic and I attended Mass with him when we began dating. I converted to Catholicism at the age of 20.

My family and I live in Pineville, LA.   God blessed my husband and I with two beautiful daughters and one grandson.  Since 2015 we have cared for our oldest daughter, Angel, that is almost bedridden with MS and her son, Jeffery, that has Autism and Asperger.  We lost our youngest daughter, Melinda, in 2016. She is greatly missed.  At 75 and 80 years of age, we have been able to continue to care for their needs, but only through the many graces of God.   I have been blessed to work as a preschool teacher in the past and today I am also blessed to use my God given gifts as a hair dresser to assist seniors and the homebound.

Over the years my faith has grown stronger and stronger.  I fell in love with the Blessed Mother in 1988, when I was giffed with a beautiful wooden Rosary from Medjugorje.  Thus began my journey of praying the Rosary daily and attending daily Mass and Adoration.  My beautiful Momma Mary has been with me for 37 years and has lead me to where I am today.

Over time, through Mary’s intersession, Jesus has blessed me with many miracles.  Most notably, Mother Mary blessed my Mother, a non-Catholic, by appearing to her on her death bed. I grew even closer to Mary and Jesus after this happened.  I didn’t know at the time that my Sweet Jesus and my Blessed Mother was preparing me for the death of my youngest daughter, Melinda.  The gift that Mary gave me at that time, was a beautiful image of Herself standing over my baby’s coffin at her funeral.  Melinda was only 46 years old. This gave me confirmation and peace that my Blessed Mother and Loving Jesus had my daughter in Their Loving Arms in heaven and gave me the strength to carry on durning this difficult time.

In 2024 I received an incredible gift to go to Caritas in Birmingham, Alabama and then Medjugorje in Europe, where the Virgin Mary has been appearing since the 1980s.  These are two places that I had always wanted to visit and it has affected me in such beautiful and amazing ways.  I never thought it would be possible to love the Lord any more, but this journey with Mary has set my soul on fire for God.

My Sweet Jesus and my Blessed Mother has always been there for me and shown me many signs.  It is because of Them that I am where I am spiritually.  They have given me the great gift of becoming a prayer warrior for so many of God’s children.  I love my Catholic faith and thank God for it and look forward to whatever God has for me in the future.
