Dear Holy Man of God, Veteran John Martinez
The Lord led me to you, for sure as I have been listening to you whenever you were featured on The Mother and Refuge YouTube channel, as well as on other Catholic Media. This time when you gave out your contact details during your podcast, I did not hesitate to contact you to pray for me and my daughter, once she agreed for us to call you.
We called you on 29th November, 2025, and you were so kind to pray with us that day, over a number of problems—namely, for healing, both physical (scoliosis, due to Maria's one leg which is shorter by 2cm), for immune deficiency for us both, for anxiety and depression for my daughter, due to sexual abuse by her pediatric Doctor when she was 7/8 years old, for her wish to also get married just like her older and younger Sisters, and to have children too, (if a boy she will name him John, after you). We also asked you to pray for her current legal case against the hospitals that caused her negligence and did not protect her from the abuse.
I also asked you to please pray for me to find a research supervisor for my PhD, as I had been trying, only in vain.
You said we would begin to experience changes in our lives from the third day.
THE MIRACLES:
- Mary's legal case had stalled since 2024 because her trauma psychologist refused to release his clinical notes about Mary to Mary's lawyers, even though the lawyers wrote to him twice, asking for those notes. Not only that I even accompanied my daughter to her recent session with him in November 2025, after he was not communicating with her for over six months!! HOWEVER, MUCH TO OUR SURPRISE, THE PSYCHOLOGIST, EMAILED ALL THE CLINICAL NOTES TO MARY'S LAWYERS, on December 2, 2025 and copied her in.
- My potential PhD Supervisor, who had declined to be my principal research supervisor, emailed on December 3, 2025 to ask if I wish to discuss my thesis proposal with him. I had approached a number of research supervisors since six months ago, until I had to change Universities even. So its a miracle that the last one had a change of heart, AFTER YOU PRAYED OVER US.
- From six months my daughter and I were trying to get a more reliable car. We even went to the car dealer where me and my older daughter had bought our cars from in previous years, but to our shock, they would not approve either of us. HOWEVER, SINCE YOU PRAYED OVER US, my daughter and I felt the urge to go to a smaller car dealer, on December 2, 2025, JUST TWO DAYS AFTER YOU PRAYED OVER US, THE CAR DEALER, NOT ONLY AGREED TO LINK US WITH A FINANCE COMPANY FOR A CAR LOAN, BUT HE DID THE UNTHINKABLE!! HE ASSURED US THAT REGARDLESS OF THE OUTCOME, HE HIMSELF WILL PAY FOR THE CAR HIMSELF AND WE CAN THEN REPAY HIM. HE ASSURED US THAT THE CAR IS OURS.!! He even offered more extras such as giving us cash back for our trade-in vehicle!! Simply miraculous.
- Another miracle is from Mary's private medical consultant for weight loss, where Mary had to spend approximately $500 per month, for six months before he increased the dosage which was even more expensive, in addition to consultations fees. But on December 2, 2025, when Mary saw him via telehealth, consultative fees were halved, and he will now increase dosage for Mary monthly instead of quarterly. Which is a miracle for him to have that change of heart.
There are even more positive changes happening in our lives since you prayed over us, like no more mood swings, and anger from Mary!! She even agreed eventually to go to the hair saloon to braid her hair since 2012. AMAZING! She even attended a wedding of one of our staff, without me, yet she used to be afraid of crowded places, such as shopping centres, and even The Church on Sundays.
